Application and selection

The total number of course participants is limited to 20, to enable participants to access state-of-the art instrumentation and laboratories during the hands-on activities. The target audience is early-career scientists including postdoctoral fellows and PhD students, but we also welcome applications from senior scientists who are looking to incorporate metabolomics into their research. The course is aimed at individuals with minimal experience of applying metabolomics in their research and taught from an introductory level.

The prime criteria for selection of participants are (1) that attending the course will have a clear benefit to the participants current research project or future plans and (2) if participants do not currently benefit from access to metabolomics experts in their current projects. Applicants  will be asked to submit a motivation letter outlining the benefits of attending the course in the current project and future research plans, their current experience of applying metabolomics and if they currently work in a research group with a track record of applying metabolomics.
